The CST regularly publishes technical recommendations. These express the Association’s official standpoint regarding a given technical problem. We strongly advise professionals in this field to follow such recommendations. Most of them are in French. Certain technical recommendations are converted into national or international standards. These standards may be referred to in laws, in which case it is compulsory to apply them.
The CST contributes to defining standards in the field of cinema and audiovisual techniques, by working with institutions such as AFNOR, ITU, ISO and the SMPTE.
